Environmental Journalism Workshop: Before COP is after COP

On the 24th of September 2023, Cairo Climate Talks held a workshop for Egyptian journalists working in the field of environment. The workshop took place at the headquarters of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in Cairo. It gathered speakers from Germany and Egypt in the fields of policy making, journalsim, civil society to prepare the journalists for COP28 and discuss  the top trending topics in climate change such as loss and damage, biodiversity. The workshop was held in both english and arabic with immediate translation to ensure accessibility of information.

After the workshop, Ambassador Frank Hartmann honored the journalists who won the Cairo Climate Talks Journalism Awards for the year 2023.
