The 96th Cairo Climate Talks (CCT), held in collaboration with the German University in Cairo, brought together youth, academia, and environmental organizations to discuss the pivotal role of young people in combating climate change.
The event opened with a panel discussion featuring experts in sustainable engineering, climate action, and academia, who shared insights on effective strategies for addressing climate challenges. Following the panel, three parallel workshops were held, each focusing on key aspects of climate action: climate-resilient infrastructure and green buildings, youth engagement in climate initiatives, and career opportunities in climate action.
A highlight of the event was the CCT Exchange Room competition, where student groups submitted creative projects—either posters or short videos—explaining a climate change concept in innovative and artistic ways. An expert jury evaluated the submissions, and the winners were announced during the event, celebrating the ingenuity and passion of the participating students.
