Redefining Public Parks

2023

JULY 29th

At Alexandria's Al Shallalat Park

In collaboration with Banlastic Egypt, the 88th Cairo Climate Talks takes place in Alexandria, Egypt on Saturday the 29th of July, 2023

We are pleased to introduce city inhabitants to open green spaces, share diverse events, and remind ourselves that we are a part of nature just as it is a part of us.

Along with emphasizing the value of picnicking in green spaces, we also make sure that our kids participate in such activities with their parents through which they create “green” memories, learn about the biodiversity in the city and appreciate it.

We encourage you to join us on a sunny green day so that we can get to know communities and people from different backgrounds, learn new things, and discuss our many interests.

Day Agenda:

“Drawing in Nature” workshop will be implemented by Wed Art Studio

“Nature Walk and Bird Watching” tour will be implemented by Dayma

“Creating Musical Instruments out of Waste” workshop will be implemented by the artist Yassin Mahgoub

All people over 10 are welcome to participate in the workshops, however you must apply through this link first: https://forms.gle/aU8J3hUZk8UcJW8R6

Then you will receive a confirmation email with all the details.

Location: Alexandria’s Al Shallalat Park, in front of the Ahmed Al Motaiam Mosque.

Time: 3:00 PM on Saturday, July 29, 2023.

Please refrain from bringing any single-use plastic items since we want to reestablish the picnic culture and maintain the area clean because it is a public area and as such, it is our place!

Are you interested? Don’t miss out by registering to our events. We hope to see you there.
